My passion for “being organised” started way before Reasoned’s official registration date. After studying Investment Management, I started to work at a small investment company and soon realised that the day to day running of the office was in dire need of being systemised and organised and that became my mission. In addition to my responsibilities as Investment Banker I streamlined the office duties in order to save us time, and for the team to be as efficient as possible and making the appointment of an office manager unnecessary. When I resigned, I developed a system and process manual for my successor to make her life easier. 

 

I left to pursue my career in London at a global wealth management company. My position was as facilitator between the fund managers and service providers of the funds to streamline their ability to trade. When the time came to come back to South Africa, I was again requested to develop a manual for my successor outlining the correct use of the process and systems in order to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Back in South Africa a small production house were in disarray because of the rapid growth it experienced. They were in desperate need of financial and admin systems, and again I immersed myself into the project to fix, organise and systemise. 

 

After returning to the corporate world again I continued to contribute to systemising, organising and improve workflow – serving in several projects that were brought about to facilitate this.

An idea was born – I realised that I love creating organised environments - whether at work or at home. In fact, I am passionate about that because I know how important it is to be organised to feed productivity and improve outcomes - whether working in a small organisation or a global corporate. 

 

And that is how Reasoned came about. I am doing what I love, and I love what I am doing to make people’s lives easier and streamlined.
